Arkansas wins BCS national title, 63-17

(Miami,FL) The Arkansas Razorbacks win their first national title since 1964 and first ever BCS win. The SEC has won seven straight BCS national titles.

Wisconsin got down early in the game which impacted how many rushing attempts they had (14). Arkansas' ability to force turnovers is a major reason they won tonight and all season. You got the feeling throughout the game, the Hogs were better prepared and conditioned for the game. "It's a long time between the SEC title and BCS title game . . . like a month. The guys did get to spend Christmas with their families, but that is about it. We were met every day besides that day for conditioning and mental preparation exercises. It was an awesome experience to win back when I was a player at Arkansas, but it seems a bit sweeter to be on top as a coach," Coach Von Jenkins during the post game news conference. To say this past year for Arkansas has been a roller coaster is an understatement, after defeating Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl, finishing 11-2 and then the firing of Bobby Petrino to the hiring of an unproven head coach in Von Jenkins on April 24.

Tyler Wilson had a perfect game completed all eight of his passes for 20 yards and five touchdowns. The defense forced Wisconsin to make some very poor decisions which led to turnovers.
